Joanna has a strong background in figurative and landscape painting. She
works in many media such as acrylics, pastels, watercolors and oils to
combine them in her mixed media artworks. She received her Master’s
Degree in Fine Arts from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge. She
also trained with nationally known artists, Michael Del Priore in portraiture,
Leonard Wren in landscape painting and Gerald Brommer in collage. She
studied art abroad in Paris in 2000 and in Venice, Rome and Florence in 2004.
In 2009, Joanna participated in a joint artists' exhibit of American and Russia
artists along with teaching workshops in Novgorod, Russia.
